One more thing that struck me on rereading this - JKR said that Draco married Astoria Greengrass girl. It could be that when Pansy Floo-ed out of the castle, that she never made it to the safe place....

Author's Response: It's a finished one-shot. I won't be continuing it, but thank you for reading. It was a challeng on Romancing Wizard on LJ to write a missing scene in a chapter. That's the chapter I chose. :)

An interesting POV. I wonder how many others took refuge in other places in the castle? An it does the Malfoys credit that they did not leave via the Floo, but stayed to the end.
