This story was AMAZING! Loved it. Brilliant. Great plot.
Another wonderful chapter. I still hope that you aren't pulling my leg about Snape.
Ohhh Snape. My other love. I'm hoping that you're only teasing his evilness.
I was fully prepared to call Lucius a creepster before learning he was daydreaming. Thankfully that was't real, because I'm not ready for them to get there yet. Wonderful chapter!
recently your titles are sakespearean quotes. perhaps you are attempting to draw upon the supernatural powers of the scottish play? best fan-fic i've read so far by a mile
Absolutely brilliant. This is one of the best Lucius/Hermione stories I've ever read. It kept me captivated 'til the end. Bravo!
It's well after midnight, and I stayed up to finish this. Very enjoyable story, and I was glad to find a L/Hr to rec to friends. Thanks for writing and finishing this story!
I've not been stopping to review, but decided to this time because I saw your note apologising for the story turning in a direction you didn't mean for it too. I've had this happen, and don't apologise, this story is fantastic, the darkness only makes the light that much better when it comes.
Ahh, Weasley has played right into Malfoy's plan, putting Hermione in the position of seeking Lucius out... whew.
Very enjoyable second chapter, however, I did find it a little hard to believe that they would let Hermione take Lucius alone to Malfoy Manor. Still, very good, and on to the next chapter...
Ahh, Lucius working on redemption with believable reasons behind his change of heart, yet not a total personality change. Here is truly the "slippery" Lucius Malfoy of canon. Onward to the next chapter...
ok just finished this story and i must say i am impressed. i've always been intrigued w/this ship, but i've never really been into the stories where lucius goes over to the light side. but the way you wrote this, i was enthralled and thoroughly enjoyed this! now i think i will venture into your profile and see what other goodies you have instore! much love!
Author's Response: I'm so glad that you enjoyed this story. It was my first foray into this pairing and I had initially planned on this being light and fluffy, but you can see it didn't stay that way, but I think the story is better for it. I hope that you will enjoy the other stuff, as well. The Glory fics don't really explain how Lucius remained free, but he's a bit different from this one. I had to do at least one light side fic. I'll see how others work out. :)
wow! great story,i hope you will write more HG/LM stories.
Author's Response: Thanks, trista. Not sure if you've seen it but, I just started posting "The Price of Glory", which is a sequel to "To Regain Glory", both of which are LM/HG. While I just started posting "Price" it is almost completely written, so there is no fear of abandonment. :)
WOW!!!! I really love this story. I couldn't stop reading it. It was amazing! What was so good about it? The story was great. Necessary amoung of romance and action. Not too much sex. Some people use the higher ratings to get the couple to... After a while it's boring.
The flow was great. Not too many details to have my short attention span waver, but enough to make the story not too chipped.
I'm really looking foreward to reading more from you! The Muses grace you with their presence often and Brigid guide your hand!
Zelda
Author's Response: Thanks, Zelda. I'm glad that you thoroughly enjoyed it. Like you, I have found that having the couple going at it like rabbits can get rather boring. As for the muses, they are being fueled by evil plot bunnies. LOL I'm posting here and I have a WIP over at Occlumency, too. I have been known to post at Wolfsbane and have a one-shot I need to continue at Ashwinder, so I wlll be quite busy for the foreseeable future. :)
Great story. I love it.
I was worried that it would become too dark, but gladly it didn't (not that much at least).
Author's Response: Thanks, Maddy. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It did get much darker than I had originally planned, but I think it was a good balance, of course the mostly happy ending offsets the sadness some.
Incredible XD. It took me a little less than a day to finally finish it. To be honest, I am more of a severus/hermione shipper; however I somehow decided that I needed a little break from that and chose what I thought was another interesting combination: hermion and lucius. Thus I can say I'm very much pleased at Severus' role in this fic. Lets face it, without him it wouldn't have been possible though I do think he should have recieved something better than only carrying on his solitary life at hogwarts (poor thing), it would be nice if he were to be the new headmaster.
Overall this fic is rather eventful. From the grim beginning where we were introduced to Lucius' state of loss until the end, it proved to be satisfying indeed. I'm also amazed that you managed to wrap it up in 25 chapters. Your writing succinct enough both to provide us with the facts we need as well as with the other details in the background of the story. Therefore I neither felt that it was confusing at anytime while I was reading it nor did I feel that it was dragging on. *Applauds*
I must say that I felt like striking harry and ron where it hurts while reading this fic but I suppose you made up for it through Harry's apologies albeit at the epilogue (how long did it have to take?) and ron being ...er well dead. I admit I have never been one to like Ron.
This story illustrates a tale of redemption (that it is possible for someone like Lucius to turn his path in life) so beautifully (let us forget his part with the scheming and all that.xp)that all I have left to say is thankyou for the good read =).
ps. I would like to know what house Wulfric would be sorted to.
pps. I'm off to read all your other works now! ~_^
Author's Response: Thank you very much for the incredible review. I'm glad that you enjoyed me pairing Lucius with Hermione even though you prefer her with Severus. I was very skeptical of this pairing at first, but it really has grown on me...As for Severus, I really do have a soft spot for him and couldn't let him have a bad end. I really don't think he was maliciously responsible for Dumbledore's death...For Wulfric, if/when I do a sequel to this (I have about half a dozen other ideas I'm working on first) that question should be answered...I hope you do enjoy my other works. I have stuff posted on many of the archives and I think they are all in my profile with the exception of one little fic I have on The Burrow, which I think is under phoenix316 and not phoenix...Thank you again for the wonderful review. :)
Fantastic story. Did you win the award you were nominated for? I could really believe this Lucius. I've read many where he was so OOC that it was spoilt for me but this was well worth a read. Well done.
Author's Response: Sadly, no, it didn't win, but the wonderful reviews more than make up for that. I'm glad you enjoyed this story and could see that even though Lucius changed, he did it plausibly. :)
I really enjoyed your story, and look forward to the next installment of LM/HG... Thanks for writing this!
Author's Response: Thank you very much, sayyida. I'm glad that you did enjoy it. I'm hoping to have the story up within a couple of weeks.
WOOHOO!!! kudos in finishing the story! ^_^ *waves pompoms and throws confetti*
Author's Response: Thanks, tei hakuto. It felt really good to finish this story, but I was still sad to see it end. On to other things.
I'm glad I checked my fave stories update. I was thrilled to see this one finished. Great job! I'm enthralled with Lucius - no matter what female he's with... haha Thanks for a great, sultry story.
Author's Response: Thanks, Mashell. I'm glad you enjoyed the ending and glad to provide and update on your list. These last couple of chapters were hard for me to write because I didn't want to say goodbye to the story.
Ah, I'm such a sucker for a happy ending. It was a blast being a little part of of this fic.
Author's Response: Thanks, Owlbait and thanks again for your help. Yup, I'm a sucker for a happy ending, too. RL doesn't always end happily, so I like to see it in my fiction. :)
WOW!!!!!This is most definately a perfect 10!!!! Cant wait to read your other stories too!!!
Blessings and may the Plot Bunnies multiply always for you!!!!!
Author's Response: Thanks, Sylver. I'm glad you enjoyed it. And thanks for wishing the plot bunnies to multiply, I think. LOL They seem to do that quite well as I find them having more and more ideas they throw at me. :D
Wrapped everything up nicely. I'm glad Harry and Lucius are on better terms - that would have been awkward, otherwise. But, seriously, what had brought that about? One minute they're fighting, then Harry apologises? Heheh, I guess you can't show everything! I like how they picked the name of their son.
Author's Response: Thanks, Mithluin. I'm glad I didn't leave any loose ends. I think Harry's near death experience might have finally changed him, given him some time for introspection. :) I liked Wulfric. I think Lucius might have been opposed to Albus, but one of the middle names would be more acceptable.
Wow... what a fantastic ending - and you say you have the starts of an idea for a sequel... I look forward to it!
I also look forward to rading TPOG which should be cool - good luck with that!
Author's Response: Thanks, JTBJAB. I'm glad you enjoyed this. Endings can be so hard to write. I have the major plot point of the sequel. Let's see if I stick to it this time. LOL I'm looking forward to getting past my TPOG blocking point. I think once I can devote time to it, it should come rather quickly. :)
This was a really great story! Loved the ending to it. And am looking forward to reading the sequal to "To Regain Glory".
Author's Response: Thanks, kanoni. I'm glad you enjoyed it. After all the misery of the last few chapters, I had to have some happiness. :) I'm looking forward to the sequel, too. I've been thinking about it for months, but have had too many projects to devote time to it.
