This was lovely. You proceeded through their relationship with such care it was delightful to read. My favorite thing about this whole thing is that Draco had to take so much time just getting Harry to accept touches from him. Brilliant.

Oh, and since you seemed concerned about ages, I just wanted to let you know that this sentence is in there: "What do you expect? I'm sixteen. Sixteen-year-old boys aren't expected to have stamina." If you were concerned, you could have him say "teenage," since that would cover both 16 and 18 and leave interpretation up to the reader. But since this story clearly takes place 6th year and this archive has no problem with that (that I know of, anyway), there is no reason not to just leave it.

Author's Response: Thank you for the heads-up! I should have checked that word too - I did a pretty hasty job of trying to age the boys up, without making any major change in the story, which I prefer not to do. I'll edit that reference (since the Sycophant Hex rules now say no-one under 17).

I hope you have a chance to write the 4th someday. "Wearing white for Eastertide" - I love this poem! It's very conscious of mortality, while at the same time celebrating life.

Author's Response: I have reams of notes for Goodwill! And, alas, a consciousness that if I write it, it's going to be madly AU. I've never actually done that deliberately. ==I like/find much to respond to in so many of Housman's poems.

"With a Gryffindor – how in Merlin's name did a Slytherin make advances to a Gryffindor and avoid rejection? That was not something he could ask Professor Snape to help with." How very true, *especially* now that we know what came between Snape and Lily! But I remember reading this (and enjoying it) before DH - just thought I'd add a comment.

Author's Response: Thanks for letting me know you've enjoyed it, and enough to re-read it, too. ==Yes, poor Draco has a serious problem there! If he had asked Snape, he mi9ght have got some help - maybe.
