Wow. Perfect. It would be just like Severus to lash out with hate when he's trying to cover up his true feelings. Your imagery is wonderful - I can just see the buttoned-up restraint he is so desperatley trying to hold onto, with poor Remus desperate to finally lose some of HIS restraint, after having to try to keep it in check for so many years.
