I am enjoying this story very much. I know that writing a WiP can be difficult with our real lives getting in the way, but I am happy that you've updated. I agree that Snape is out of canon but you describe his emotions well. Additionally, I am glad that this story is portrayed with a slow and almost painful healing process for Remus. It is how people really heal, physically and mentally. I don't know if I have reviewed this before, but I really do enjoy this story and hope that you complete it as soon as you are able.
Author's Response: Thank you for the kind review. I know Snape is a little out of canon, but to be honest - he's terribly hard to write IC ;) The healing process: it would be too unrealistic if it went too quickly. The story is complete now - I fear it would get tedious if I continued, and it ends on a hopeful note this way. There will, however, be a sequel in form of a one shot, which takes place some years into the future.

I have just joined this sight and found the story it is a lovely story although I think Snape is a little out of cannon! But it is lovely idea that something like this could have made him the way he is and explain the way Remus reacts in the Pensieve scene in GOF. Please keep writing, I hope he accepts Harry sometime soon.

This is a wonderfully haunting story. You deal with Lupin's condition in a realistic manner. There's no cheap tricks of a miraculous recovery as soon words of love are spoken by Severus. No, progress is measured in small, shakey steps and you portray them skillfully with a delicate brushstroke of words. I look forward to reading more of this story and hope that you update soon.

Marvelous! I loved the way you opened the chapter. I like that Remus still was not speaking because it allows the focus to be on Snape dealing with his thoughts and feelings. Loved the interaction between Snape and Harry and I felt sorry for Harry. This is such a wonderful piece of work! I anxiously await more. I keep wondering will Lupin regain his speech and if he does what will his first words be. Thanks for sharing this wonderful story!

I like mute!Remus, too ;) And the entire story will be from Snape's POV, mainly dealing with his feelings and thoughts, regardless of what will happen with Remus. I bet you felt sorry for Harry *snickers* even Snape did, and that really means something ;)
