Sweet, very sweet. Yet very Draco. Well written. Thought out well.

Wonderfully executed! This is THE ONLY Draco/Hermione story that I have read which seems possible. Thank you for the entertainment!

Author's Response: Wow! I realize that the Draco/Hermione pairing is a difficult one... they have many obstacles to overcome, and some of them seem insurmountable. That you consider mine to be plausible is indeed a wonderful compliment! I appreciate that you took time to read and leave a review. Your generous words mean a lot to me!!

Sigh. Lovely story. Sad and bitter Draco. Perfect.

Author's Response: Thanks, Java. Angsty Draco just begged to be written that day. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Only makes me love him more. I'm so impressed by your realistic portrayal of Draco, and how he would relate to Harry and Hermione. I enjoyed the vivid imagery of his life and connection to his mother. Bravo!

Author's Response: Thanks, secret!! That you think Draco is realistic makes me jump with joy! I'm so glad you find him plausible! Your generous review has left me with a huge smile on my face. Thanks, again! You're most kind!

I love how you've protrayed Draco. Especially at the end, the fortitude to do the right thing. It's so moving. I really enjoy your writing.

Author's Response: Thank yoiu so very much, sayyida. I'm so glad that I moved you... that in itself is worth having written it! I'm very grateful for your readership!

Wow! This packed an amazing and satisfying emotional punch! I really felt Draco's grief, and his struggle to maintain his Malfoy pride in the face of it. I like that you didn't beat the reader over the head with the tragedy of it, or belabor that this Draco had shifted away from the boy at Hogwart's, just by illustrating it as the plot unfolded. I also like that despite the characters' maturity, they haven't suddenly become lovey dovey, but they clearly have gained some grudging respect in each other. It ends on a hopeful note, which keeps this from being a complete downer. I like angst, but I also like to think there's hope, even in the midst of terrible grief. Wow, again!

Author's Response: Wow is right! What an incredible review! I'm blown away by your thoughtful comments, and I'm not sure where to begin to respond. I don't think the characters would suddenly become lovey dovey -- they have way too much history between them to simply have it all go away and they suddenly become the best of friends, especially Draco and Harry. Hermione is a bit more forgiving, by nature, but there would still be some hesitation between them. I also don't think I could have ended this on anything but a hopeful note. I'm a purveyor of happy endings, so I couldn't leave him alone to grieve. Thanks again for such a comprehensive review. You've made my night!

I see Draco is still Draco. That is nice to read. You captured him well and his POV was well written. This was a wonderful story. It tugged at the heartstrings, made tears well up and made me sigh at the end. Although I'm dying for a sequel, this is a fabulous piece that it needs no other.

Author's Response: Wow, tjbaby... thanks! I'm glad to know that Draco is in character, and that this little piece touched you on an emotional level. It's all I could possibly ask! Again, thank you for reading and for your kind and generous review.

I sighed a big sigh on finishing this. Lovely. Realistic characters, realistic way of Harry and Draco relating at the end - not yet friends, no longer enemies. And Hermione offering comfort and common sense. Lovely

Author's Response: Thank you, Freyalyn! I'm pleased that you found this realistic... I was hoping that there wasn't anything OoC here. I appreciate you reading and leaving such a wonderful review.

A sad AND beautiful story. Any chance of a sequel ? I'd really like to know what'll happen the next morning (and why didn't Harry protest) ...

Author's Response: Thanks, Armadillo. I'm really glad you liked it. Unfortunately, I have no inclination to do a sequel at this time... I guess the next morning will have to be left to your own imagination. As for Harry not protesting... I can only assume that since he and Malfoy have come to a tenuous truce, and Hermione is an adult, that Harry figures it's her own choice to make. But again, that's left to you and your imagination. Thanks for the review!
