I've just been to your site looking at your pictures. I love the portrates of Draco and Pansy. I've been looking at them and I can't figure out what media you're using. Is this drawn and scanned, or electronic media? Either way they're beautiful and your attention to detail is fantastic. I can't stop starring at Draco's buttons, and the clasp.

Wow, it's a bit creepy to see Snape placing his head against Poppy's belly, just like Draco did with Pansy! And the same underwear! Oh, that's just disturbing. How much of Draco and Pansy's interaction did he see? It is going to be hard for Pansy, I'm sure, to pretend like they're not an item. I'm so sad for her. And for Draco. The whole chapter was written beautifully, and I was so disappointed when Snape interupted them! Argh!

Author's Response: Sorry, IEG, I hope Snape doesn't give you nightmares! Well, Snape knows a good thing when he sees it, so I suppose he thought he'd spice things up with Poppy. Thank you for reading the story and taking the time to leave some feedback. *hugs* - SIW

Oh! I feel so bad for Pansy and Draco. All of Pansy's dreams have been crushed, and I can really see no way out of it. Same for Draco. But, I know you're fabulous, so I'm sure you'll be able to work it out. The plot is engaging, and the diction is intense...the whole bit makes my heart pound as loudly as I expect Draco and Pansy's are doing. Yay!

Author's Response: Hi, IEG! So you have compassion for the Slytherins? That's exactly what I was hoping for! I'm so happy you are enjoying the story. Thanks for taking the time to let me know. - SIW

Oh! Good chapter! I don't know how I feel about the Legilimens bit, though. It takes a very talented witch or wizard to perform the spell, I think. I guess that means we'll get to see just how talented Pansy is! I wonder how she learned it. And I wonder how Draco will respond. The trip to Blossom Hill Park sounds wonderful, and I'd love to hear more about that. I think you've painted the relationship fabulously. Both are a little insecure, but hopefully we'll get that sorted out. Good work!

Author's Response: Hello, Irish Espresso Girl! I appreciate your feedback. Hopefully when you read Chapter Two, the questions about Pansy's magical abilities will be answered. Thank you for reading! - SIW

2 words for you: LOVE IT! I have to admit when you first told me you were splitting it in 3 chapters it felt weird. I dearly love this story, none other has kept me so interested and hooked waiting to see what happens next, so I guess I sort of feared some of the things that made it so special the first time would get lost, knowing you how could I have even dream of THAT! This new version still has everything that made me fall in love with it to begin with, yet so much more…more information, more humor and depth for two characters which thanks to you I have come to love. I will let you in on a little secret, you’ve redirected the way my ship was sailing! Your writing style has changed as well and it shows. It reads fast, it engages the reader and keeps you going. It really shows how much work and love you have put into this beautiful project of yours. I can tell you that reading this again really makes me want to know what happens next…so, when is Chapter 15 coming out? You know, I NEED to know! I guess all that is left to say is: like wine, your story with time gets lots better, so keep writing dear, we will keep reading. :)

Author's Response: *dies happy*

I know there was uncertainty about my reworking this story, but now that I have read your comments, I know it was the right thing to do. It is extremely satisfying that the story came across the way I intended. Your support of my writing has be unfailing, and that, more than anything, propels me forward. *hugs* - SIW

That was lovely! You know I'm not normally a fan of Draco or Pansy, but I liked your characterizations. You do a fine job of balancing their Slytherin characteristics with their romantic feelings. And Snape and Poppy! LOL! ;-D Oh, and I really loved the image of Draco and Pansy riding horses together over the summer ... that seemed very beautiful and very appropriate, for some reason. Thanks for the story! Best, Sophie

Author's Response: Oh, Sophierom, you just might decide that even Slytherins have a soft side. Remember, the books are biased through those weak Gryffindor eyes. lol I really wanted to write a fresh ship, so Draco/Pansy fit the bill. Perhaps we should name the S/P ship; how about Snape, Crackle & Poppy? There are more images like the horses in the sequel, if you feel so inclined. There is SNAPE in Part II, but in the later chapters. Thanks for reading and letting me know what you thought. - SIW

You pointed me to this from my lj request for good fic, and I am not disappointed. This is an excellent and sweet missing scene. You've taken a canon pairing, given it roundness and depth, as well as adding an extra dimension to two canon characters. Sweet - yet oddly in character. And with the added extra special bonus of a rarepare (Severus/Poppy). Lovely writing too.

Author's Response: Hello, Azazello! I enjoyed writing this story immensely. After reading HBP, I wondered about the interesting dynamic that might exist between young Death Eater Draco and pure-blood princess Pansy. Draco has certainly been raised to be an elitist bigot, but what would he be like with one of his own who he cares for deeply? I don’t buy the whole Slut!Pansy persona. She’s a part of a dwindling social class that clearly values purity. She was likely reminded her entire life that she is a rare commodity; and her virginity may well be protected by social expectations and personal beliefs. They each fit the requirements of a suitable partner, yet their feelings are real--it’s actually a love match. I truly appreciate your taking the time to read my story and I am flattered by your review. Thank you very much!

Well, here is one Snape-centrist who found the little situation in the treehouse extremely funny...Poppy in lacy knickers, eh? I just can't bring myself to sympathise with the entitled "pureblood" way of thinking, but I started to sympathise with Draco and Pansy in this story--basically two young people caught up in events beyond their control, trying to sort out who they want to be and what they want to be to one another. Pansy's jealousy of Girly!Crabbe & Goyle was hilarious! (This is me, just the plain Grainne you know from LJ etc., BTW, but the name was already reserved at this archive).

Author's Response: Lady Grainne! Someone reserved your name? Off with their head! Well, I'm flattered that you made your way over to Pureblood to give my Pansy/Draco fic a chance. I thought about them one day and I just had to write this—then it turned into a trilogy. *giggles* It's not just the Gryffindors who are suffering in this war, the elitist Slytherins aren't in control of their destinies either. At the end of HBP, even Harry wonders what Voldemort might make Draco do under the threat of killing his parents. A fic can't possibly be any good with out a little Snape—sex god that he is, so he will always have at the very least, a supporting role, in anything I write. It means a lot to me when someone I admire finds my writing a bit funny. Thanks for that, Grainne.

Wow! Just on the edge and then--Snape! Why does that man always get in the way? *growls* You've made Pansy such an interesting character and linked her so well to Draco that I'm really liking this ship. Thanks!

Author's Response: A convert? Do my eyes deceive me? Well, well...Snape! LOL! That was fun to write! He'll be back in Part II and Part III. Hee, hee, hee...Just wait...Thanks for your unwaivering support, I appreciate it!

VERY GOOD. So romantic and so Intense. When Snape arrived I was like "oooohhhh $#!T". That elicted some stares from roommate... Hahah Snape and Poppy. So funny in the end...yet so peverse. Well done. I love Pansy and Draco in this..so beautiful.

Author's Response: Deceptive Kindness, eh? Should I look over my shoulder? LOL! Thank you so much for the very kind review! I'm glad you found it romantic and intense, that was definitely what I was going for. I wanted to portray Pansy and Draco as having real emotions, not just the cliché Slytherin facades. And that would include the sexual tension building between them for years…or at least in my depicted combination of Pure!Pansy and Experienced!Draco. It’s clear—they are meant for one another emotionally and physically, but will their romance survive? Snape was just a little icing on the cake…but there will be more of him in Part II, which is almost complete. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review!

Excellent story, I’m still fanning myself ;) what sizzling exchange between Draco and Pansy, you are quite an expert on romantic situations.

Author's Response: Anaxarete, thanks for stoping by and reading my tale of Slytherin love. That's exactly the reaction I was hoping to get, when I wrote the sizzling love scene. I'm so happy you liked it!

I like it! You manage to make Draco a real person without making him too soft. I look forward to the rest. :-)

Author's Response: Hi, vanityfair! My treatment of Draco is directly a result of what transpired on the tower that fateful night. He's a product of his environment; yet he has obviously been influenced by Pansy's opinions over the years--although he never realized it until now. As mean spirited and sinister as he appears, and is, to Harry, he is still a vulnerable, conflicted young man, who is capable of recognizing a good thing when he sees it. He is very much loved by his family (there is much canon evidence for this), so it is not far fetched to believe he would seek out the passion he sees between his parents, for his own life. This is a coming of age tale for Draco, as well as Pansy. Thank you for reading and reviewing! Part II is incredibly long, so I'm dividing it into 4 chapters, which I hope to post this week.
