That was your FIRST fanfic? It was brilliant! Beautiful characterization. Nice, tight plot, and a well-formed and clear original character. Outstanding! You have every reason to be proud of this work!

I just read your Outcasts story and thought it was brilliantly planned and set up. Well Done! Most probably the best story I've read on the internet ^_^. Good use of words as well!

Beautiful story. Although I'm a Remus/Tonks shipper, you developed the relationship nicely. I started reading, unsure if I'd manage to read it all, but it really pulled me in and kept me reading. Congratulations on a great story:

Wow. A fantastic story. I think you dealt with all the characters superbly. And I'm pleased that Snape came through in the end for Remus. My favourite part had to be when Remus called him Sirius. Very touching.

This was brilliant. And I do not give praise lightly. I am in awe. I have to admit that I was in tears. Rosemary is an OC who is powerful and wounderful, yet so human and real that she could never be called a Mary-Sue. Congatulations, and thank you for this beautiful and poignant master piece. I can truly say that it was a pleasure to read.

Did I catch a bit of a plug in there for Kingdom of Heaven? Wonderful story so far, and the OC is an interesting but not overwhelming figure. I love your Lupin, you have done a fantastic job with him up to this point.

Author's Response: I originally posted this story in 2004, so any references to Kingdom of Heaven are entirely cooincidental. Actually, I haven't seen the movie yet, but it's on my Netflix queue. Now I'll be on the lookout for the parts that are like this story. I'm glad you're enjoying the story. Thanks for taking the time to review. :)

You know, once I saw that there were more chapters, I felt a lot better about this story. Sorry about my last, incoherent review. I must say, however, that this is a completely brilliant work of art. And this was your first, you say? Amazing. Your characterizations are wonderful. Rosmary is a wonderful OC. All of the situations were perfectly played. Your writing is excellent. You know how to rip the heart out and put it back in safely. You torture Remus with the utmost care. That's my favorite part. I love to torture him too. Brilliant story. I look forward to reading more!

This is absolutely wonderful. So full of love, angst, hate, mystery... I was so tempted to throttle Severus. And Remus.... my God, you portray him wonderfully. I just can't believe that you ended it this way. I'm just too stunned for words. Beautiful job. Excellent story. Very different.

I loved the letter Rosemary wrote. It would be interesting to see the look on the official's face when he reads it! On to Chapter 9....

This has a wonderful beginning. After reading "Indebted to a Hufflepuff" I decided to read this one since it was mentioned. I look foward to chapter 2.

hey i luved this story the rapport between the characs is to die for...i laughed out loud at the conversation between Snape and The Bun and Snape and Remus...the whole thing was sooo good and Rosemary's awesome way cool OC was wondering exactly where I know what you do in the DUngeons is...isn't it the sequel to Outcast...anyways just wondering if i could get that one can't seem to find it..searched this website but couldn't see it so hopefully you could tell me before i die from the suspense

Author's Response: It's on Ashwinder, Sycophant Hex's SS/HG archive, under the same pen name. Thank you for your feedback, and I hope you enjoy the next story as well. :)

Ha! Amusing. The style is intriguing -- almost reminds me of old children's novels -- and the concept is novel. So novel, indeed, that it's a bit difficult for me to get over it right now (seems sorta like a Sue-in-the-making, but I will be reading further to see how it turns out! This story was recced, and darned if I give up in the mere exposition! ;-)) The tattoo was interesting... Another call-in to Nazism: those Nazis make such great comparisons, don't they? I like the way Remus is startled by the werewolf questions, even when he's expecting her to know nothing at all, and I like your answer that he's just a normal wolf -- evil-monster-wolf!Remus seems a bit overdone to me, and there's not really canon pointing either way. That's a breath of fresh air. *onward!*

Author's Response: This was my first go at writing fiction, and if I had the ambition to edit it, I'd change about a million things. The first 14 chapters or so make me cringe. :) I'm just glad that a lot of people found it entertaining. I have learned from my efforts though, and the stories that come after this one are technically more sound. Thanks for taking the time to comment and I hope you enjoy the rest of the story. :)

This story brought out every human emotion I had. I cant believe its your first one. Writers as good as you really need to be paid authors. Ive read hundreds of Remus Lupin Fics, and this is by far the best one I have ever read. Looking forward to reading both sequels. Bravo, Buttercup, for being a truly gifted writer, we'll certainly be seeing great things from you.....Blessed Be.

I think my favourite things were the names you gave to things. 'Fuzzy Ducks', 'Pregnant-belly fancier' and my favourite - 'The Bun'.

I totally enjoyed reading 'Outcasts' and I'm glad I now know the backstory. I'm looking forward to another installment of FUOT.

Tender moments abounded in this, as did the strategic planning. Brilliant! I loved the conversations, Remus talking to The Bun and the clever twist in the courtroom.

Thanks!

This story was soooooo good! I can't even articulate a decent review. All I can say I found it riveting (read all of it in two sittings, couldn't wait to get off work tonight to pick up where I left off!) funny, angsty, sadly and joyfully tearful.

It was also a joy to watch Severus Snape start out as an absolute asshole par excellence and turn into a wiser human being. He spends too much time in the dungeons! I'm introverted as all hell, but even I know you make yourself crazy if you sequester yourself away from life that way.

I fell in love with Remus all over again, I've always enjoyed that canon character, and your OC Rosemary was marvelous!

I look forward to reading the third of this trilogy (since I started in the middle with "I know what you..." Keep writing, you do it so well!!!

'“Come on Ro, come for me, come for me, come for me,” he moaned.' Hawt! Why am I spelling things like a 14 year old? I'm not, believe me, add 30 to that and you'll have the correct age, but I love the altered spellings I've seen out and about on the net.

That and ANGST! Poor Remus. Umm, just one question (and I'm assuming it will be answered by the story): What was Mrs. Black on about when she was yelling "‘…HALF-BLOOD WHORE DEFILING MY HOUSE BY LAYING DOWN WITH SUB-HUMAN FILTH!’"? (such a charming woman!) Half-blood? I guess I'll wait and see.

Found my way here via AFFnet, yes they have messed up a lot of stories, sigh. Well we have Storius Intactus here!!!
