I really enjoyed this story. Your use of the shower, such a simple yet intimate activity, was truly inspired. Nice characterization, great emotional build up. Well done.
Author's Response: Thanks for taking the time to write a review-- I appreciate your comments. There's something about English plumbing that lends itself to exploring loneliness-- and something rather similar about Lupin, for that matter. Happy holidays.
Oh no! Are we at the end already? *sighs*
Author's Response: Thanks for all your replies! I really appreciate your enthusiasm and your comments. Also, I have to tell you that I think your screen-name is one of the funniest things I've ever seen and I'm awfully glad it turned up in a review of my story!
Remus certainly is carrying a large load of grief, isn't he? You've captured that beautifully.
What a deliciously yummy shower scene! I loved this line best: "I don't think you should let yourself forget what it feels like to be touched." How true that is. I'm savoring a moment, then on to the next chapter!
Your characterisation of Remus is incredible. I was especially touched by his tirade against being left with all of the abandoned responsibilities of his dead friends. Bill is also incredibly believable in this and I'like that you didn't ignore Fleur's existence, but rather showed how it played into both Bill's and Remus' feelings. I just really enjoyed this, it was sweet and poignant and yet cutting. Thank-you for sharing your talent and imagination with us!
Author's Response: Thanks for taking the time to write a reply. I happen to really love Bill and struggled to capture a fully humanised version of him, so I'll take your approval and run with it! Glad you enjoyed the story.
