I'm quite drawn to time-travelling stories, and I must say you pulled it off brilliantly! Though some characterizations were a bit too off-base for my taste (mainly Severus' feelings toward Petunia and his overall caring nature), they were quite believable within the story you created. Every character is realized. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and am impressed with the concise complexity. Definitely a moving and entertaining story.
This was pretty amazing to me.
However, the begining seems to drag on in comparison to the ending. Though the more I consider it the more sense it makes that it would do so...I find myself infinately more interested in the last chapter than the first two combined and wish it had been as...fufilling? This is perhaps not the right word.
It's an amazing story. My heart broke for the Voldemort-run-time versions of Albus and Hermione the most.
I think I...dislike the implication of Severus falling for Petunia, but this is my only squick.
I wish we could see Minerva's reaction and then her choices afterward. It seems unwise to allow Hermione and Harry to work on reviving Severus, with the knowledge she'd gain from the letter...but I wonder if she'd have the heart to tell them the truth and risk ruining their perceptions of Albus, despite his belief that she'd hate him...and if she didn't have the heart, it seems like there would be no stopping them.
I've read the whole story. I'm not quite sure what to make of it. I liked parts of it, and truly hated other parts. I definitely liked how you tied all the different timelines and universes together though. It was clever how you showed the importance of how making one choice affects or can potentially affect the outcome in another. So, in that regard at least, well done. Though, I'm not quite sure I like the ending left hanging like that.
