How much of history is set in stone? Could one person’s act have changed everything and shaped the world we know? Some acts seem destined to happen, and destined to be repeated time and again. (Written for the 2005 Spring Faire Festival and the Grand Prize winner in its category. Now hopelessly AU!)

I'd just like to say, I think this is one of the very best fanfiction stories I've read in Harry Potter. It's stunning, moody and atmospheric. jaw dropping stuff.

retired featured story While trying to find the right wand for Luna, Mr Ollivander remembers his eccentric father, seven unusual wands, and the wizards who bought them.

Second-prize winner in the 'General' category of the Spring Faire Festival.

This a smashing story. I really enjoyed it.

Author's Response: Thank you:)

Author's Response: I was too overwhelmed to answer sensibly last night. As I've said to others here, I really value reviews from writers I respect.

Theodore Nott never wanted to have anything to do with any of these clowns.

I've just tripped over this while working the validation coal face over here (don't ask). I cannot bear seeing this story bereft of rating and review when it is so good.

I've already reviewed this on lj, but will say it here, this is exactly the sort of story I love. So canon, I feel as if I skimmed HBP too fast and so missed this. And so depthy, that I feel as if I know the Slytherins better thanks to you (and I like them better, too). Wonderful missing scene.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed the story and so flattered that you t hink it fits into canon so well. <3
